Repair:
Install a new collar with reinforcing ribs (see b in figure 7). Do not fill the inside of the new collar with hot glue.

Complaint 3:
Creaking noises in the rear side section trim due to the collar (cover) or the windstop mounting point (Cabriolet only).
Cause:
The plastic collar for the side windstop mounting point where it contacts the rear side section trim. During driving, slight movements may cause creaking
noises.
Repair:
Remove the collar, stick felt approx. 8 mm wide on the contact area touching the rear side section trim. Pay attention to the visible edge (see arrow in
figure 8).
Complaint 4:
Crackling, creaking and/or rattling noises on the A and C-pillar trim panels.
Cause:
Fastening clips on the trim panels are loose. Retention force too low.
Repair:
Install new yellow coated fastening clips, 999 507 479 09 (item a in figure 9) on the panels and cover with a piece of tricot tape, 999 551 134 40 (item b
in figure 9).
Note:
Each time a trim panel is removed the fastening clips must be replaced. Use only the new style clips with a yellow coating, together with the tricot
tape.
Complaint 5:
Crackling and creaking noises on the leather covered A, B, C-pillar trim, and rear side section panels.
