If a complaint is received, a boot must be attached to the wiring harness and the hood covering cleaned to remedy the situation on vehicles manufactured
before the specified date of introduction January 2007.

Preliminary work

1. Clean hood covering.

1.1. Clean dirt on hood covering exterior. Refer to Care and cleaning of the hood

2. Move hood to service position. Refer to Hood service position
3. Remove seal for hood tip.

3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove cover strip -2- and buffer -3- from the roof frame -4- (-arrow-).

NOTE:  The seal on the roof frame is in two parts.

3.2. Pull the lower seal at the side -1- out of the profile of the retaining strip -2- (-arrow-).
