Diagnosing Targa Roof Assembly Noises (17/09)

It has been determined that the Targa roof assembly is being removed unnecessarily when diagnosing customer roof assembly noise complaints.

Whenever diagnosing a Targa roof assembly noise complaint, you must first carry out the remedial actions outlined in "Technical Information", 
"Eliminating noise symptoms .../Eliminating symptoms ... "(Workshop Manual).

The roof assembly should only be removed if this is necessary in order to carry out the required remedial action (see also "References").

Please use the references provided below when dealing with noise complaints (status: May 2009) and check the "PIWIS Information System" to see
whether additional up-to-date documents are available for eliminating noises.
