Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Without PCCB
Front
WM 465019 Removing and installing front brake disc
Preliminary work
Remove wheel.
General warning notes
Warning: Risk of accidents if brake pads and/or brake discs are not replaced in time.

Danger of injury and damage to vehicle if braking effect is impaired.
-> The brake pads must be replaced when the brake pad warning indicator lights up, but no later than when there is a residual pad thickness of 2 mm.
Caution: Increased risk of damage to brake discs when mounting/removing wheels.

The brake discs can be damaged.
-> Use assembly aid (assembly pins) in order to exclude any possibility of heavy contact of the wheel with the brake disc.
Removing front brake disc
Warning: Risk of accidents if brake pads and/or brake discs are not replaced in time.

Danger of injury and damage to vehicle if braking effect is impaired.
-> The brake pads must be replaced when the brake pad warning indicator lights up, but no later than when there is a residual pad thickness of 2 mm.
Note: In order to gain better access for removal of the brake calliper, it is beneficial to turn the wheels fully either to the right or the left.
1. Release holder for wear indicator connector on wheel carrier.
2. Disconnect the speed sensor (ABS sensor).
3. Push brake pads back slightly and evenly using the piston resetting fixture Nr.144 (-Direction arrow-). Make sure that no brake fluid runs out of
the supply tank - drain it if necessary.
