Valve Spring: Service and Repair
Removing and Installing Valve Springs
Use P 200 a for removal and installation of valve springs.
Checking Installed Length of Valve Springs
1.
Install Special Tool P 10 c with shims belonging to a pertinent valve, spring retainer, spring disc and both keepers.
2.
Read distance "A" from Special Tool P 10 c and, if necessary, correct by adding or removing shims.
Note: Make sure spring retainer fits perfectly in special tool, machining special tool if necessary.
