Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation of Heater/Air Conditioner

1. Discharge the air conditioner.

2. Remove the thermo bimetal switch.

3. Loosen hose clamp on the air guide hose and press hose off of neck on the evaporator housing.

4. Unscrew hoses on the expansion valve.

5. Disconnect plug for the blower motor.

6. Pull temperature sensor wire out of guide tube in the evaporator housing carefully.

7. Remove mounting bracket bolts on the body.

Note:  The bolts of the air conditioner mounting brackets should be tightened only after installation of the thermo bimetal switch.
