When checking for testing automotive refrigerant systems, it can be difficult to identify the actual type of refrigerant in the system. Porsche Cars North
America, Inc. recommends the RI-2002 tester from NEUROTRONICS INC. This automotive refrigerant identifier can assist the technician in identifying
which refrigerant (R-12 versus R134a) is in the system, as well as the air content. Since these tow refrigerants are not compatible with each other this
could save you and your dealership the added expense associated with repair of the refrigerant system.
