Valve Clearance: Adjustments

CHECKING AND ADJUSTING VALVE CLEARANCE 

Note:  Valve clearance is always checked and adjusted on a cold engine and with an ambient temperature of approx. 20 °C.

Clearance is checked by inserting a feeler gauge between shaft end surface and cap of valve adjusting screw.

Valve clearance of cold engine:

Intake valve 0.1 mm
Exhaust valve 0.1 mm

Make adjustments in sequence of firing order (1-6-2-4-3-5). Piston of pertinent cylinder must be at TDC of compression stroke, since both valves will
then be closed. TDC mark of each cylinder is made on pulley.
