Electronic Control Unit Correction
1984 Model Porsche 911 (California)
Dear Porsche Owner:
Porsche has informed us that a small number of 1984 model Porsche 911 vehicles certified for sale in California were delivered to purchasers with an
electronic emission control unit which was not properly connected.
The control unit is an emissions control device which regulates the composition of the exhaust gas before it is treated by the car's catalytic converter and
emitted through the exhaust system.
We would like to connect the wire so that the emissions control system in your Porsche operates properly. The repair is simple, is free of charge and will
take only a few minutes of your time.
Please contact your authorized Porsche dealer as soon as possible and arrange for an appointment.
