Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove engine/transmission assembly and separate transmission from engine.
2. Remove release bearing guide tube.
3. Screw Special Tool 9251 firmly into the oil seal.
4. Screw in the hexagon-head bolt and pull out oil seal.
NOTE: If the helical tension spring jumps out when removing the seal, use a wire hook to pull it off the input shaft.
