3. Remove vibration balancer.

Caution
Drilling crankshaft sealing ring.

Risk of engine damage caused by drilling chips.

Risk of damage to the crankcase.

Do not apply pressure while drilling.

Carefully remove chips.

Drill carefully.
1. Spot-drill the crankshaft sealing ring -1- at two opposite positions -arrows- using a greased drill bit ([diameter] 2 - 2.5 mm) and carefully remove
chips.

An electric screwdriver -2- or a small drill can be used to drill the holes.
Boring the sealing ring
2. Pull out sealing ring.
2.1.
Screw the extractor tip of the tool impact puller Nr.168-1 -1- into the bore holes alternately and evenly pull out the sealing ring.

Alternatively, screw two tapping screws into the bores.
2.3.
Pull out sealing ring alternately using slide hammer kit Nr.168 at the tapping screw.
