Engine carrier to engine mounting on cylinder bank 4-6 (view from below)

3.3.

Slowly lower the engine approx. 15 mm using the jack.

4. Remove resonance tube.
5. Remove intake-air distributor pipe on cylinder bank 4-6.

Overview of oil separator

1 - Oil separator
2 - Bracket for oil/water heat exchanger
3 - O-rings (replace and grease)
4 - External Torx(R) screws (E10), M6 x 20

Removing oil separator 

1. Unclip electric line for starter.
2. Remove oil separator.
2.1.

Release and pull off the engine vent line -1- at the oil separator by pressing the locking ring.

2.2.

Unscrew two external Torx(R) screws (E10, M6 x 20) -2-.

2.3.

Pull oil separator -3- off the bracket for the oil/water heat exchanger.

2.4.

Close off bores with adhesive tape or suitable stoppers.
