W303 - CDR 23 "Best FM" Functionality

Replacement of the CDR 23 radio.

Information:
This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Service Action on certain 2003 model year 911 Turbo (996) and 911 GT2 (996) vehicles, equipped with
either the standard radio option or Digital Sound system Radio options M490 or M680. Due to an internal software error, the list of preset stations in the
"Best FM" function is lost after a period of approx. 15 to 30 minutes. The result is that the customer can only listen the station currently selected, and
cannot select another station using the presets. The procedure is repeated following an "ignition off".

Therefore, we ask that the affected vehicles listed below have their radios replaced during the Porsche Owner's next visit to your workshop.

Affected Vehicles:
A total of 119 U.S. and 12 Canadian vehicles fall within the scope of this Service Action.

Very Important! Not every vehicle in the below listed range may be affected. Use the ranges below as a general guideline. Only radios with part
numbers 996 645 128 01 and 996 645 129 01 need to be replaced.
