Press out rear-wheel hub with pressure piece P 297A (tool A). Use the separator (tool B) for support. If there is not enough space for the wheel
hub between the press, appropriate shims will additionally be necessary.

Remove retainer plate (lid) (four screws).

Heat wheel bearing housing to approximately 100°C (maximum 120°C). Press out wheel bearing with tubular piece VW 415 A (tool C).

Press inner wheel bearing race off the wheel hub (Figure 426_97). To do this, use pressure piece P 297A (tool A) in combination with the
separator (tool B).
