Removing And Installing Outer Side-Window Seal (Lower Part)

Preliminary work

1. Remove outer side-window seal (upper part). Refer to Removing and installing outer side-window seal (upper part).
2. Remove sill cover. Refer to Removing and installing sill cover.

Removing outer side-window seal (lower part)

Removing lower part of outer side-window seal

1. Remove lower part of side-window seal.

1.1. Drill out rivets -2- in the lower part of the side-window seal -1- using a 4.1 mm drill.
1.2. Remove lower part of side-window seal -1- by lifting it upwards.

2. Remove rubber sleeve -A- at the bottom of the door sill.

3. Apply cavity preservation.

3.1. Insert spray-gun hose for cavity preservation through the opening -arrow- in the door sill from below and move it 30 cm forwards and then 30

cm back.

3.2. While actuating the spray gun, pull the hose out of the door sill at the front and rear in about 2 seconds and apply cavity preservation in area
