Removing and installing sealing ring for parking lock shaft

Preliminary work

1. Move selector lever to position P.
2. Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
3. Remove underbody panelling.

Removing sealing ring for parking lock shaft

1. Disengage parking lock cable on the PDK transmission.

Removing parking lock cable

Press ball head of parking lock cable -1- off the parking lock lever.

1.2.

Release parking lock cable -1- at the bracket by pressing the locking lugs -2- together and pull it out.

2. Move cooling water hoses into position.

Take cooling water hoses out of the retaining clips and position them in such a way that the parking lock lever is accessible.

3. Remove parking lock lever.

Unscrew M8 nut, loosen parking lock lever from the parking lock shaft and remove it.
