Air Bypass Valve: Service and Repair

1.  Disconnect battery.
2.  Remove air guide frame from charge air cooler.

3.  Remove charge air cooler.

NOTE: 
a.  Do not drop the rear square fastening nuts of the lower charge air cooler bracket after loosening them.
b.  Plug-seal the pressure pipes between charge air cooler and turbocharger (foreign substances).

4.  Remove hot air blower and recirculating air flap.

5.  Remove air cleaner assembly and hot-film mass air sensor.
6.  Remove right-hand recirculating-air valve (A), loosen two hose clamps and vacuum hose.

7.  Remove left-hand recirculating-air valve (B), loosen two hose clamps and vacuum hose.

NOTE:  First loosen hose clamp at intake pipe and remove valve with hose. Before installation, fit hose to valve.
