9. Connect cable plugs -1- to the electronic adjusters and lock them. The cable plugs must engage audibly. Pull on the plugs to check that they are

seated securely.

CAUTION:
Assembly of deformed heat shields.

Damage will be caused through heat build up if deformed heat shields are installed.

Check heat shields for deformation, fixing of the aluminium braided cord, tears and missing or damaged fixing tabs.

Damaged or distorted heat shields must be straightened or replaced.

10. Fit heat shields at the sides by screwing on and tightening the two speed nuts on each one. - tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)

CAUTION:
Risk of engine dropping down.

Danger of fatal injury and damage to property.

Secure the engine with a suitable mounting jack.

11. Lift the engine with the mounting jack.
12. Fit and tighten M12 collar nuts on the engine mountings. - tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
13. Remove mounting jack.

14. Press intake air lines with the rubber sleeves into the brackets -arrow-.
15. Fit new O-rings on the intake air lines and grease lightly with Kluber Syntheso glep (available from Porsche Parts Service).
16. Insert intake air lines into the flanges on the turbocharger.
17. Fit M6 nut -1- on the protective plate and tighten it. - tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
