8. Remove additional coolant pump.
9. Remove knock sensor.

9.1. Pull off cable plug -3-.
9.2. Unscrew screw -2- and remove knock sensor -1-.

Removing knock sensor, cylinder bank 4-6

1. Remove throttle housing.
2. Detach and swivel out compressor.
3. Remove knock sensor.

3.1. Pull off cable plug -2-.
3.2. Unscrew screw -3- and remove knock sensor -1-.

Installing knock sensor

Installing knock sensor, cylinder bank 1-3

1. Install knock sensor.

CAUTION:
Knock sensor not installed correctly.

Risk of engine damage and modified exhaust emissions.

Strictly observe specified tightening torque for screw.

Align knock sensor in such a way that the sensor housing and cable plug are not touching.
