NOTE:

If the car radio is replaced by a new or a different car radio, read out the data with the Porsche System Tester before removal.

The car radio has an optical waveguide (LWL). Information on the optical waveguide (LWL):

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
1. Insert removal tool into the openings provided at the radio until the tool is felt to engage.
2. Pull the radio completely out of the installation slot with the removal tool.
3. Carefully place the radio on the centre console in front. It is advisable to place a cloth between the centre console and the radio.
4. Unlock the plug connections by pressing the plug locking elements -a- and pull the plugs off the radio -arrow-.
NOTE:

The number of plug connections will vary, depending on the I No. (CD changer, Bose, amplifier).

The variant without additional audio components (external Most control units) has a jumper (output to input) connected to the optical
waveguide plug.
