Impact Sensor: Service and Repair
1. Disarm air bag system as described under "Disarming and Arming Air Bag System."
2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
3. For left hand sensor, remove tire pressure warning system, mirror and ABS control units.
4. For right hand sensor, remove LH and EZK control units.
5. Using tool No. P9259, remove sensor mounting nuts, then remove sensor.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Prior to installation, ensure sensor mounting contact surface is bare down to the metal.
b. Use a 1/4 inch socket to tighten the shear-off bolts.
c. After completing installation, arm air bag system as described under "Air Bag System Disarming And Arming."
