Parts of old and new version are not interchangeable!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR REPAIRS

The old parts, drive shaft, joint flange, and gasket are still available for replacements.

When replacing a complete 1985 model transmission, check for the correct CV joint flanges, since some early 1985 Model year, new transmissions, were
equipped with the old version flanges. It may be necessary to exchange the flanges in those cases.

Torque Values for Old and New Versions

Drive shaft to wheel hub (M22 x 1.5)

460 N-m (331 ft. lbs)

Drive shaft to Transmission Flange (M10)

83 N-m (60 ft. lbs)

Flange to Transmission (M10 X 1.5)

43 N-m (31 ft. lbs)
