Compressor Shaft Seal: Service and Repair

REPLACING SHAFT SEALING 

Removing 

Note:  Briefly loosen vent plugs on line connections, so that any remaining gas can escape.

1.

Remove coupling plate.

2.

Remove dust seal with blunt object.

3.

Remove key with key puller.

4.

Remove shaft seal retaining ring.

5.

Pull out friction washer using puller.
