For Model '87 the opening in the clutch housing (Arrow B) for the speed and reference sensors is slotted. Because of this, it is possible the reference
mark sensor may be inadequately shielded from magnetic interference from the starter during cranking.
If detonation (pre-ignition) occurs during cranking and starter operation is labored, a reference sensor shielding sleeve and bracket should be installed.

It is planned to modify the clutch housing opening for the speed and reference sensors (Arrow A) for improved shielding effect later in production. Holes
instead of slots will be used.
