Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Service and Repair

1. Remove airbag steering wheel.  See: Air Bag/Service and Repair

2. Loosen and remove trim.
3. Remove right-hand switch panel

4. Take apart plug connectors.
5. Loosen fastening screws.

Note

Prior to installation of the contact unit, place the front wheels in the straight-ahead position and bring the contact unit into the center position
(approx. 4 1/2 turns from left or right end stop). The precise center position is indicated by the two arrows.
