On cars with the airbag supplementary restraint system, the windshield mounting is modified.

The spacing profiles (arrow A) have been omitted and the windshield now bonds directly to the windshield opening in the body. In addition, the holder
(arrow B) in the area of the cowl panel has also been omitted.

The necessary distance to the windshield opening collar is given by a cement profile (arrow C) already applied on the windshield.
On 944 models equipped with the airbag system, only the following windshields can be installed:

944 541 011 12 - tinted 944 541 011 13 - clear 944 541 011 14 - tinted, upper part dark 944 541 021 06 - tinted, with option M462 944 541 021 07 -
clear, with option M462 944 541 021 08 - tinted, upper portion of windshield dark, with option M462

Please Note:

Installation kit Part Number 000 043 038 01 must be used for all windshields with profile "C" (above).
