ATTENTION: Service Manager / Service Technician

Models Affected:
All 944s from 1985/2 models through beginning production 1993 968

Concern:

Shortly after production began on the 1993 968, a new version covering for the wiper motor was installed. This plastic cover also shields the wiring
harness and connection point on the wiper motor.

Vehicle Information:
The new version cover was installed in production from the following VIN numbers:

963 PS 820074 - 968 Coupe 
960 PS 840095 - 968 Cabriolet

Repair Information:
When installing a new wiper motor in vehicles produced before the above mentioned VIN numbers, the new version wiper cover must also be installed.
If wiper motor cover replacement becomes necessary, use only the new version cover. The new version cover is applicable to all left-hand drive cars
from 1985/2 on.
