Convertible Top Frame: Description and Operation

Top Frame 

The top frame is a new design with good shape stability and low weight. This is accomplished by combining various materials.

Front roof frame, both side roof frames and the rear retaining bar are made of steel sheet, while main and auxiliary roof bows are made of steel pipes.
B-pillars with connecting arms are made of an aluminum diecasting alloy.

The top frame is painted dull black.

If the top is lifted off of the front root frame, the entire top frame will swing back around the mounts on the B-pillars and rest on the rear end of the car
in folded state.

The tightening torque of shaft bolts on the top frame and top drive is 28 Nm. All microencased bolts, which are loose or have been uncovered, must be
replaced.
