Information:
Alarm system control units are being returned to the service test center as warranty goods. Control units that were subject to complaint and delivered to
the service test center will be checked by the manufacturer.
The previous procedure has shown that it is not possible to perform an exact evaluation of the control unit during examination without more details about
the complaint.
From now on, a working log must therefore be included with an alarm system control unit that was subject to complaint when it is returned to the service
test center.
CAUTION!
Faulty or wrong data in the working log if the correct procedure is not followed during repair.

Always produce the working log with the Porsche System Tester 2 (PST2) before beginning with the repair work.

For the log, the following data are required as a paper printout from vehicle diagnosis:

Identification, including. additional information

Fault memory, including. additional information
-
Event memory
-
Activation status memory

Control units without a complete working log will not be accepted by the warranty test center.
Procedure for producing the working log:
1.1
Connect PST2 to the diagnostic socket; switch on the PST2.

When the PST2 is ready for operation, select the vehicle type from the start menu.
1.3
Start the automatic control unit search and wait until the search is complete.
1.4
Use the "F6" key to delete the working log stored in the PST2.

Select "Alarm system" in the "Control units" menu.

Select "Identification" in the "Function selection" menu. Save with the "F4" key. Have information displayed with the "F8" Info key. Save the
additional information with the "F4" key.
