Convertible Top Cable: Service and Repair

Replacing the tension cable

Tools

The spare parts and tools shown are required for replacing the tension cable.

Removing the tension cable

NOTE

-

In order to replace the tension cable the convertible-top covering must be detached to a certain extent on the relevant side!

To do so, undo the convertible-top covering at the front and the side of the roof frame.

Disconnecting the tension cable from the main bow

At the front B-pillar (main bow), undo the fastening screw -1- from the tension cable eye and clamping rail.
