3.1.1. If there is no Teflon or felt tape affixed: Rework the main folding top bow. Refer to Eliminating noise symptoms - Reworking hood 

frame.

3.1.2. If there is Teflon tape affixed: Rework the main folding top bow. Refer to Eliminating noise symptoms - Reworking hood frame.
3.1.3. If there are felt strips affixed: Carry out Steps 4 to 7.

4. Scrape off contact surface (mould removal burr) -arrows- between the slider -1- and leaf spring -2- from above using a ripping chisel or

screwdriver.

5. Lubricate the contact surface between the slide -1- and leaf spring -2- in the marked area with Krytox.

6. Disengage tightening strip -1- (-arrow-).

7. End hood service position.

7.1. Switch on ignition and move hood electrically to its original position.
7.2. Switch off ignition.
