Danger of burns

--> Wear heat-resistant gloves!

2. Fit lid for the wheel bearing on the wheel bearing housing (4 M8 screws). --> Tightening torque: 37 Nm (27 ftlb.).
3. Press in wheel hub.

Position wheel bearing housing on wheel hub and press on wheel bearing inner race using a tubular piece VW 415 A.

4. Fit brake cover plate on wheel carrier.

Screw in and tighten screws on brake cover plate.

--> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install wheel bearing housing.

Tighten tension bolt on the wheel hub (wheel hub/wheel bearing threaded joint). Use a new lock nut (M22 x 1.5). Tightening torque: 460 Nm
(340 ftlb.).
