Installing hydraulic valve for camshaft timing

1. Using a bar magnet, fit a cleaned or new oil strainer into the cylinder bore -1-. Pay attention to the installation position.

Replace O-ring on hydraulic valve and retainer plate with seal.

Observe installation position of the hydraulic valve.

2. Replace O-ring on the hydraulic valve and coat new O-ring with engine oil. Insert hydraulic valve into the cylinder head. Pay attention to

installation position while doing this. The groove on the valve -arrow points to the dowel pin in the cylinder head.
