Removing And Installing Accelerator Pedal

INFORMATION:  The accelerator pedal is an electronic accelerator pedal unit without a mechanical accelerator cable. The electric printed circuit
board, among other things, is integrated in the accelerator pedal unit. On vehicles with Tiptronic transmission, the accelerator pedal unit also features a
spring-loaded aneroid diaphragm -3- for kickdown simulation. The integrated pedal stop obviates the need for a basic kickdown setting.

Removing accelerator pedal

Removing

1. Loosen accelerator pedal.

Remove screw -4- .

2. Remove accelerator pedal.

Pull accelerator pedal forward slightly and remove it in an upward direction.
3. Pull off electric connector on accelerator pedal.

Press locking mechanism (see -Arrow- ) down as far as the locking point and pull off electric connector -2- .

Installing

1. Connect accelerator pedal.
