Removing/fitting parking-brake cable

6. Open clip for parking-brake cable (at the rear wall) and take the parking-brake cable out of the deflector box.
7. Mark the installation position of the spring strut mount (position of the three M8 lock nuts). Undo M8 locknuts on the spring strut mount -Arrows-.

8. Pull out spring strut with wheel carrier and drive shaft. Make sure that the ball joint boots and drive shaft boots are not damaged during removal

and installation.

9. Remove lock nut on suspension/stabilizer -1 and 2- (clamped connection between spring strut and wheel carrier). Pull spring strut -3- out of the

wheel carrier -4-.

Always check the parts visually before installation.

Replace brake caliper fastening screws.

Do not grease screwed connections in Dacromet finish - aluminum color!

^

Observe correct tightening torques.
