4. Pull the oil pump drive from the cylinder block with a rotary movement.

5. Using a suitable tool (e.g. pointed-nose pliers, magnet), pull the drive shaft of the oil pump from the cylinder block.

If you now want to take out the intermediate shaft, you will have to remove the engine ' and the timing chains' Removing timing chain'.

The fastening screws of the intermediate shaft thrust plate will probably be destroyed during disassembly as they are bonded in.

6. Remove fastening screws of the intermediate shaft thrust plate.
