Installing display and operator control unit PCM 3.0

1. If the PCM unit has to be replaced and a telephone control unit is installed:

1.1. Install the telephone control unit.

2. Plug in central connector -5- for PCM and lock it -arrow-.
3. Plug in antenna connectors one after the other -4, 3, 2, 1- until they engage securely.

4. Carefully slide the PCM unit as far as it will go into the housing in the dashboard. Make sure that the lines are not pinched.
5. Secure PCM to the dashboard using the four fastening screws.

6. Fit the covering frame and press into place until it engages securely.
7. Switch on PCM.

Subsequent work

Subsequent work for display and operator control unit PCM 3.0

1. The data/values that were read out from the PCM unit must be written back into PCM using the PIWIS Tester 9718.
2. If the data/values could not be read out, PCM must be coded.

Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least. - Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.
