PDCC Control Unit: Fault Code 15621

Vehicle Type:

Cayenne/Cayenne S/Cayenne GTS/Cayenne Turbo/Cayenne Turbo S

Model Year:

As of 2008 up to 2009

Equipment:

Active chassis control system PDCC (I-no. 0AW)

Concerns:

Fault code 15621 in PDCC control unit.

INFORMATION:
Yellow warning message in the instrument cluster: "Chassis system defective")

If, in conjunction with the yellow warning message "Chassis system defective", the fault code 15621 is also stored in the fault memory, proceed as
follows when processing the fault (via the PIWIS Tester in accordance with guided fault finding):

Work Procedure:

Initial situation: battery charger and PIWIS Tester connected to the vehicle, PDCC control unit selected.

1. Determine which software version is installed on the PDCC control unit: ->'Identification' -> 'Program and data status'.

Software version Cayenne GTS:
If version 1A01 or 1C02: -> (See Step 2)
If version 1C03: -> (See Step 6)

Software version Cayenne/ -S/ -Turbo/ -Turbo S:
If version 9225 or 9526 or 9727: -> (See Step 2)
If version 9728: -> (See Step 6)

2. In accordance with guided fault finding ...

2.1 Check hydraulic oil level,
2.2 Visual inspection of system: check hydraulic lines for leaks and crushing,

INFORMATION:  "Sweating" of the seals on pivot motors (for front and rear axle anti-roll bar adjustment) is not a cause for complaint and is no
reason for replacing the pivot motor.

2.3 check anti-roll bars and their screw connections for mechanical damage,
2.4 perform valve clocking,
2.5 perform low-pressure and high-pressure check.

3. Was repair work previously necessary in conjunction with the above-mentioned checks:

If YES: -> (See Step 4)
If NO: -> (See Step 5)

4. Terminate guided fault finding at this point and erase the fault memory.

End of remedial action.

5. Install new control unit, 955.618.068.03 (for Cayenne/ -S/ -Turbo/ -Turbo S) or 955.618.068.12 (for Cayenne GTS); see -> Workshop Manual
