Removing wiper arms

CAUTION:  Danger of crushing and trapping when working on the wiper.

Switch off ignition and remove ignition key before working in the area of the wipers.

1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

INFORMATION:  When the bonnet is open the wiper system is deactivated; only after closing the bonnet and switching the wiper system off and on
again are the wipers reactivated.

2. Open the bonnet and remove the cap -1-.
3. Unscrew fastening nuts -2- and -3- and remove washer -2A- O-ring -2B-.
4. Have a second person lift the bonnet, disengage the bonnet shock absorber and open the bonnet.

5. Using Pole terminal pull-off device 60 x 40 NR.99, pull off and remove the wiper arms from the wiper linkage.
6. Re-engage the bonnet shock absorber and fix in place.
