3.6.1.1 Porsche 987 paint protection film

NOTE:

-

The paint protection film is bonded wet.

-

Wet-bonding makes it easier to apply the paint protection film without bubbles.

-

The film must be bonded immediately after spraying.

-

The film must be applied without bubbles and there must be no water remaining between the paint surface and the adhesive.

1. Carefully clean painted surface for application of stone guard film using isopropyl alcohol and rub dry with a lint-free, moisture-absorbent cloth.

2. After cleaning, wet the surface to be bonded with clean, diluted water (mix approx. 25 to 30% isopropanol with distilled water) so that the position

of the decorative part can be adjusted.

3. Remove protective film.

4. Affix the film to the vehicle to the dimension X = 0.5 + 1.5 mm and press on it lightly. It is still possible to change the position slightly.
5. Press on the film from the inside to the outer edge using a plastic spatula to remove any superfluous water.
6. The adhesive is activated when you press with the spatula. The contact pressure should be at least 2 kg.
7. Pull off the thin adhesive film following bonding.
8. Dry off the entire surface with a lint-free, moisture-absorbent, non-scratch cloth.
9. Check the bonded film for bubbles and faults - the film must adhere firmly to the vehicle - and check the corners again to ensure that they are

bonded correctly (press it on again if necessary).

NOTE:  The parts must be allowed to bond for at least 24 hours before washing the vehicle.
