Attachment "A":

Work Procedure

Deactivate limit switch for external spare wheel with the PIWIS Tester.

1.

Connect a charger with a rated current of at least 40 A to the power feed for the electrical system battery in the engine compartment and switch it
on.

Note

The PIWIS Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. A
discrepancy may arise with later software versions for example.

2.

Connect the PIWIS Tester with installed test software version 10.0/06/2005 (or higher) to the data link connector and switch it on. 

3.

Switch on ignition.

4.

Select "Cayenne" as the vehicle type in the PIWIS Tester main menu.

5.

Using the PIWIS Tester, select "Control unit search" under Control units in the main menu. If one or more faults are stored that do not relate to the
"limit stop for external spare wheel", the faults must be located and corrected using the PIWIS Tester in accordance with "Guided Fault Finding".
