PSM Warning Light In Instrument Cluster Activated

Moisture entering the PSM contact plugs in main harness may activate the PSM warning light in instrument cluster.

Repair main wiring harness (PSM contact plugs).

Work Procedure:

Repair main wiring harness (PSM contact plugs).

1.

Disconnect battery ground terminal.

2.

Remove cover for cowl panel according to the Workshop Manual, Group 6, Chapter 66 44 19.

3.

Remove DME control module according to the Workshop Manual, Group 2, Chapter 24 70 19.

4.

Repair main wiring harness according to the Workshop Manual, Group 9, Chapter 97 09 41.

Note:

The description from the Workshop Manual, Group 9, Chapter 97 09 41 is included as an attachment.

5.

Install DME control module according to the Workshop Manual, Group 2, Chapter 24 70 19.

6.

Install cover for cowl panel according to the Workshop Manual, Group 6, Chapter 66 44 19.

7.

Connect battery ground terminal.

8.

Carry out work instructions after disconnecting the battery as described in the Workshop Manual, Group 9.
