The upper side of the ring can be identified by two cut-outs in the ring body (see cut-out, Item A), as well as a large inner diameter compared
to the underside. The underside of the ring is flat (without cut-outs).

1.1

Guide the security ring with the upper side first over the thread of the new fuel tank cap.

1.2

Insert the ring in the groove on the thread of the fuel tank cap (Item B).

Press the ring into the groove (Item C) with your thumb so that it clicks into place.

Remove existing fuel tank cap.

2.1

Open fuel filler flap on the vehicle (refer to Owner's Manual).

2.2

Push pin into the expansion rivet with a 2.5 mm punch.

2.3

Remove expansion rivet from the bore on the fuel filler flap with side cutters or pliers.

3.

Mount the new fuel tank cap on the vehicle.

3.1

Position security ring with expansion rivet in front of bore on the fuel filler flap.

3.2

Press expansion rivet into the bore and push pin into the expansion rivet.

3.3

Unscrew existing fuel tank cap from the fuel filler neck and replace with new fuel tank cap.
