3. Pre-assemble metering pump with parts from the modification kit according to --> -2 to 5-. Place lug-type hose clamps (--> -6-) in position without

closing them.

NOTE:  Observe installation position of electric plug connection for metering pump: At 4 'o clock position in forward direction of travel.

Only close lug-type hose clamps after the pre-assembled parts of the metering pump have been checked and adjusted, if necessary, to ensure
correct positioning with respect to the fuel line and sufficient clearance (at least 20 mm) from the body.

4. Fit fuel hose (--> -7-) on fuel line. Place lug-type hose clamp (--> -8-) in position without closing it.

NOTE:  Only close lug-type hose clamp after the fuel hose has been checked and adjusted, if necessary, to ensure correct positioning with respect
to the metering pump and sufficient clearance (at least 20 mm) from the body.

5. Install pre-assembled metering pump and secure on the fuel line and fuel hose with lug-type hose clamps (--> -9-).

Connect wire harness connector to the metering pump (it must engage audibly). Tightening torque for M6 screw (--> -1-): 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)

6. Install the cardan shaft, --> Workshop Manual "39351 '9Removing and installing rear cardan shaft.

NOTE:  Clearance between the metering pump and cardan shaft must be at least 20 mm. Adjust the clearance, if necessary, by bending up the
holder.
