Removing and Installing Sensor for Airbag

NOTE:

-

6 sensors are used for the airbag in the Cayenne.

-

The front two sensors are located on the cross member.

-

The middle two sensors are located on the floor pan behind the front seats.

-

The rear two sensors are located on the rear wheel housing.

Removing airbag sensor

CAUTION:

-

Danger of injury and damage to property as a result of incorrect handling of airbag sensors.

-

Always observe the safety regulations for handling airbag units.

Remove ignition key.
Before the connector is disconnected from the sensor, always wait for 1 minute before disconnecting the battery.

Removing sensor cross member

Remove the front spoiler.

1. Insert latch -a- in the sensor connector and remove the connector from the sensor.
