3. Unscrew both hexagon socket head bolts M8 x 20 and M8 x 30 on the front end (on cylinder row 1-4, the screws are located at the side on the

exterior of the chain box).

Note: When removing the camshaft housing, ensure that none of the sealing rings or residual sealant fall into the cylinder head.

4. Unscrew 26 camshaft-housing fastening screws (M8 x 45) contrary to the order shown Tightening sequence for camshaft housing and lever

camshaft housing off the cylinder head. When removing the camshaft housing, ensure that none of the sealing rings or residual sealant falls into the
cylinder head.

5. Remove all residual sealing compound.
