Removing brake pads
Installing
Installing 18-inch plus front brake pads (as of model year 2008)
Warning
Danger of accidents if brake pads of the wrong quality are installed.
Use only the type-specific brake pads.
Do not grease the back of the disc brake pad!
The new disc brakes must be clean and free of grease!
Check disc brakes for wear.
The core of the warning contact wire must not be left exposed! It does not matter if the insulation is worn!
Observe tightening torques.
Installation is performed in reverse order.

The procedure for installing a brake pad is described here. Two brake pads must always be fitted in the brake calliper.
1. Place the disc brake pad on the sealing surface of the pad retaining springs -arrows-.

2. Press the brake pad into the brake calliper with slight pressure and slide it onto the pad retaining pin -arrows-.
