Installation and Conversion Instructions

"Turbo" Power Kit (I-no. E81)

NOTE:

This bulletin replaces Installation and Conversion Information bulletin, Group 1, #34/07, dated March 21, 2008.

Restrictions:

-

If an external spare wheel carrier is fitted, ONLY a 20-inch SportTechno wheel (9J x 20 RO 60) or smaller can be transported.

All Cayenne 17-inch and 18-inch wheels are NOT approved for the Cayenne Turbo with power kit.

The Manufacturer Approval document "Approved tires, wheels and spacers" --> Manufacturer's Certificate '444000 Approved tires, wheels and spacers'
lists all currently approved wheels and tires.

21-inch wheels with appropriate tires are recommended for an optimal improvement in driving dynamics.

NOTES:

A "Power kit" parts kit is available for the standard Cayenne Turbo.

The following parts are replaced or changed on the vehicle:

-

larger brake discs, calipers and reinforced tie rods (1)

-

new primary catalytic converters

-

new cardan shaft

-

new intake manifold with carbon badges and electronic throttle adjuster, incl. carbon cover

-

modified map for the DME control unit

(1) ONLY required for vehicles manufactured up to May 2008 (calendar week 22 = CW 22) with a small brake system. The larger brake system is used
on vehicles of CW 22.

These part have been tested and approved by Porsche.

The Turbo power kit is also available as a factory installed option for new vehicles under Exclusive Option No. "E81".

Retrofitting the Cayenne Turbo results in:

-

an increase in performance from 368 kW (500 bhp) to 397 KW (540 bhp)

-

an increase in torque from 700 Nm (518 ftlb..) to 750 Nm (555 ftlb.)

-

improved acceleration for 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) from 4.9 to 4.7 seconds

-

an increase in top speed from 275 km/h (172 mph) to 279 km/h (174 mph)

-

improved acceleration at 180 - 120 km/h (50 - 75 mph) in the 5th gear from 5.5 seconds to 5.4 seconds.
