Removing front brake cable for foot-operated parking brake
Information
Front brake cable means: From the release for the foot-operated parking brake to the defector under the center console.
The actuating pedal for the foot-operated parking brake does not have to be removed to do this.
1. Move actuating pedal to zero position (pull release). Parking brake is released.
2. Remove trim panel in sill area and lower A-pillar trim panel.
3. Remove center console.
4. Remove cover of driver's footwell and take out driver's seat (to facilitate installation).
5. Fix the adjustment device using an -auxiliary pin (max. 3.5-mm [diameter])-. In other words: press the adjustment device together -arrow- until the
assembly bores coincide and the auxiliary pin can be inserted. Only remove the ball head of the brake cable -1- when the brake cable has been
removed at the deflector (center console).

6. Lift the front carpet (do not bend) and push the rear carpet aside.
7. Remove securing clip at the deflector -arrow-.
