Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Removing and installing cooling fan housing (radiator frame) on DFI engines

Preliminary work

1. Remove front engine compartment cover.
2. Remove intake pipes.
3. On the Turbo, remove the two pressure pipes for the charge air cooler at the sides. To do this, pull off holder on lock carrier -arrow-, remove two

screws on the charge air cooler -arrows- and pull off the pressure pipe.

Danger
The vehicle fans can continue running or start up automatically.

Injuries which can lead to the loss of body parts.

The power supply to the fans must be disconnected before starting work on the radiator, radiator fans or belt drive. Disconnect the fuse
carrier or battery.

Allow engine to cool down.
